#ad I was not happy with my previous camera backpack. It had some great features, and was versatile, but it was so uncomfortable. I was also limited in terms of capacity and the ability to expand. In the full video, I walk you through dealing with direct sunlight (yuck), positioning your subject, exposing for the background, and then balancing your strobe output.

AD A lot of you saw me use the @df_digitalfoto Magic Ring in my recent review of the @zhiyun_tech Crane 3 S. This ring gave me a lot of handling options, made it easier for me to orbit around a subject, allowed me to quickly put the setup down and pick it back up and I was also able to attach it to my @readyrig vest. I think that if you plan on using the Crane 3 S for a long period of time, the Magic Ring can really help, and if you have a vest (there are multiple options on market) then it's a no brainer.

I love being to shoot and then let go if I need a break, or to preview and change settings without having to put the rig down. It was similar to what you get when using a Movi Pro or a Ronin 2 in terms of handling.

The @westcottlighting FJ400 is a powerful and easy to use strobe. It gave me accurate color, plenty of shots, tons of options in terms of light modifyers from both Westcott and other brands, the ability to use different camera systems with the FJ-X2M wireless trigger and the option of using existing third party strobes or speedlites with the FJ-XR.

All-in-all, for $569 the #westcott #fj400 represents a very good value in my book and I think if you’re getting into using a strobe this is definitely an option you should consider.

The @bluemicrophones Blackout Spark SL is an outstanding XLR condenser mic for recording and streaming.

I’ve used it for a few voiceovers and streams and I’m super impressed with the results. There’s a -20db switch for when things are getting a little to exciting and a high pass filter to remove rumble coming from an AC or even your desktop.

Plus I’m not gonna lie, it looks bada$$
